EAST

As man entered the age of reason belief in magic began to wane causing it to fade from existence. In order to maintain magic in some form The Powers That Be, the caretakers of creation, moved magic into its own realm anchored at the North Pole. However, once The Powers That Be realized the amount of work involved in mediating problems between the mystic groups forced to live together as well as bridging two worlds, they decided to appoint an individual to do it so they wouldn't have to. Thus, the role of Detective was born. The first one died of "natural causes" within 2 hours of his appointment and for the past several hundred years the Detectives have struggled to maintain order and civility while trying to survive. Most fail.

Now destiny has thrust the honor and responsibility of being detective upon East, the illegitimate son of the Easter Bunny. East has help of his assistant/secretary Mary, a freakishly strong fashionably dressed fun loving warrior woman. Together they must collect payment from deadbeat clients, stop ancient gods trying to bring back "the good old days", deal with Father Time, who has apparently gone mad from sheer boredom, solve crimes that span two worlds, and oh yeah not die.

Some heroes are born. Some . . . just have to put up with it.

Name:  East.

Real Name: Unknown (He doesn't like to talk about it)

Age:  42

Height:  4'9" without the ears. (8'2" with)

Race:  Big Headed Bunnyman.

Occupation:  Detective.  He is charged with bring order to the chaos of magic.  If that seems rather vague as a job descriptions then imagine how it must suck if it was your job.

Family:  East was born in Jersey, where his mother still lives to this day.  East's father is the Easter Bunny who ran out on his mother after shortly after she got pregnant.  His relationship with his mother has always been a little strained.  East has never been sure if it is because he is a constant reminder that his father abandoned them or because he has a really big head.  East has one sister named Alice. 

Powers:  East's strength is several times stronger than the average human, which is typical of a Big Headed Bunnyman.  He can leap over incredible distances with astounding speed. East can also turn into a baby rabbit that is about 5" long greatly to the amusement of Mary.  Pat of being the Detective is that East nullifies most magic he encounters.  That comes in quite useful when he has to deal with a pissed off Goddess of Love and other equally scary adversary.  East possesses the greatest analytical mind on the planet which is why he is one of the best detectives there has been.  It also means he can stop looking for answers even if he wants to.

Little Known Fact:  East's dream has always been to be a florist. No one knows this not even Mary, so don't tell her.

Name: Mary Henry

Age: East estimates she is about 35 but is too scared to ask.

Height: 5'9"

Race: Human . . . more or less.

Occupation:  Assistant/Secretary to East.  On a side note, within a week of East becoming the Detective Mary just showed up at his office and told him that she was going to work for him.

Family: Mary was born in Haleyville, AL. Its located in northeast Alabama a little past the middle of nowhere.  Mary has 4 brothers and a whole mess of cousins especially since everyone in Haleyville is related.  Mary is the only one in her family with the crazy strength.

Powers:  Mary can match strength with and opponent or group of opponents she is facing.  As a result, Mary can go toe to toe with a dragon but she can't open a jar of pickles.  When Mary is not fighting someone she is your average human female.

Personality Quirks:  Mary possesses a borderline obsession with shoes.  Mary has a beep seeded hatred for the Monkey King , even though she no longer remembers why.  Mary insist on always been fashionable even though iit is probable the least functional outfit to have on in a fight.

Little Known Fact:  Mary is one of the only people who still collect Beanie Babies.  She believes that she has kept this from East.  East knows but lets her believe that he doesn't.
