When governments and international corporations uncover ancient secrets and occult powers beyond their understanding - wicked powers that they cannot control - they call The Associate. The Associate is a politically charged, action thriller with occult and supernatural overtones. The main character, Agent Donald Cain, known commonly as "The Associate", is a work-for-hire, occultist special-ops agent, who's job is to contain and suppress the strange happenings that arise near hot spots of conflict and strife around the Globe. The Associate's true name and existence is known only to those with security clearance 23 levels above Presidents and Prime Ministers. A modern, warrior-mage operating under a charter of secret societies, the Associate reports only to the Nine Unknown Men. They use Agent Cain to keep the truth of the Supernormal from humanity while collecting such knowledge and artifacts for their own. Whether conducting clandestine exorcisms for the Vatican, tracking the missing pages of the fabled Dark Gospels - whose pages are concentrated darkness and written in angel's blood - or retrieving crashed UFOs from rival agents, The Associate does the jobs that no one else can, or will, do. As humanity's ambassador into the shadow world that exists beside our own, The Associate acts as a liaison and, when necessary, an enforcer. But the Nine Unknown Men have other agendas, and Agent Cain's usefulness to them is coming to an end... |
